Really soft wood
The table and chairs look nice and my husband had no trouble putting them together. The color was almost exactly what it looked like online. The problem is that the wood is so soft that when you write directly on the table, it marks it. We have solved the problem by getting a custom glass top made, but we definitely hadn't planned on doing that. If you have kids, I definitely would NOT recommend this table (unless you want to spend some extra cash on a glass top).
