Perfect for Baking and CraftsPurchased this as a gift for my wife who enjoys baking so she could package her crafts and baked goods. This unit is very heavy and well contstructed and the variable sealing temperature setting ensures that you seal but not melt through the bags. It took a couple of trials to get the temparature setting right for the thickness and type of bags we have but it's been perfect since then! The unit also came with spare sealing wires and replacements are readily available which really adds to the longevitiy of this purchase....overall very pleased!

CARE AND USE
- All Revere cookware can be used on gas and electric coil ranges. Tri-Ply / Encapsulated cookware can also be used on most smooth-top ranges. Consult the owner's manual of your range for recommended cookware.
- BEFORE USING FOR THE FIRST TIME: Wash cookware thoroughly with hot, soapy water. Rinse and dry.
- Oven Use: REVERE cookware can be used in a preheated oven. Phenolic handles and knobs can be used in oven up to 350 degrees F or 175 degrees C. DO NOT put in oven when self-cleaning cycle is operating.
- DO NOT use bleach or other chlorinated cleaners.
- To prevent warping, let cookware cool before coming into contact with water.
- To remove burned-on food, soak before cleaning and scrub with plastic scouring pad if necessary.
- Use a non-abrasive stainless steel cleaner to remove heat discoloration (rainbow appearance) or food stains (from starchy foods).
- Salt can "pit" stainless steel surfaces. Add salt to liquid only after it reaches the boiling point and stir to dissolve. DO NOT store acidic or salty foods in cookware.
- Constant dishwasher cleaning will remove the gloss from the phenolic handles and cover knobs.
- It is the nature of copper to discolor through the application of heat as well as from climatic conditions. These stains are merely an oxide film and can be removed with a copper cleaner.

World Kitchen, LLC will replace, or exchange for product of equal value (at World Kitchen's option) any REVERE stainless steel cookware/roaster item which is defective in material or workmanship for 25 years from date of purchase when used under normal household conditions.

Not classic Revere ware
With the purchase of this set, I now own Revere ware made in at least three different locations. I own 16 older pieces made in Clinton, IL in the U.S., four unmarked double boiler and steamer inserts from the same vintage, one tea kettle made in China, and now this set of 7 pieces made in Indonesia, which I just purchased for a guest kitchen.
While these Indonesian made pieces are the same style and sizes as the older U.S. made pieces, they are not manufactured in the same way. The primary difference is in the bottoms. The finish on the copper on the bottoms is rougher, and more importantly, the bottoms are slightly warped. The bottoms can be popped in to be slightly concave, or popped out to be slightly convex, but they aren't flat. In addition, the tops don't fit perfectly snugly.
That's quite different from the older Revere ware pieces manufactured in Clinton IL, whose bottoms are flat and are much smoother. For this reason, you should be skeptical of...
Not what I expected!This Revere 1400 Line is very light-weight with lids that don't fit. The bottom surfaces aren't flat, and the pans wobble on my glass top range. Steam escapes because the lids are very loose. After boiling water in the pans, spots appeared on the inside surface. I thought this could be the last set of pots and pans I bought, but that's not the case. Revere should be ashamed of the quality of these pans manufactured in Indonesia.
older is betterI have two 58 year old Revere Ware pans that are in great condition. The new ones have less copper, and stain much more easily. I am disappointed, to say the least. They are not as good as they once were. I suppose current management has sacrificed quality for profit.

Okay, first, you need to ask yourself who will be using the cookware, and will anyone possibly mistreat your new pots and pans? For example, this Farberware set is suppose to be used with only plastic utensils, whereas the Anolon set can be used with metal utensils. But the Anolon is suppose to be hand washed, whereas the Farberware can be put in the dishwasher. Apparently, neither are suppose to be used with a really high heat setting on the range. Average budget-priced setThis set of pots and pans (with utensils) is ok for a starter set - Someone who just got their own place, just starting out cooking on their own, college students, not sure how they will take care of them, etc. I would not recommend it for someone who is cooking full meals daily for their family. I don't feel this set offers the quality/durability to stand up to daily use. It reminds me of the cheap sets you can get for about 40 bucks or so.
I do like the color. It is like a pale beige color. It's different, neutral, will match any decor.
The utensils are your basic plastic/nylon(?) utensils. Cheap, but get the job done without harming the nonstick surface.
I like that the skillet is a bit deeper and doesn't have the slanted sides. The cook area is as wide as the brim of the sides, so grease, food, etc is less likely to splatter or slosh out.

OK for one or two peopleThese pots, you get what you pay for. The price is low and the pots reflect that, but they are not bad for the price. The saucepans are VERY small, and I cannot see cooking for more than 2 people in them, and the frying pan bottom is so small it might cook one grilled cheese or 2 eggs, and it is also a very shallow pan. So, if you want something for a larger family, I suggest looking at other sets. That being said, these are of average quality, and they performed well. The metal is on the thin side (the plus side to this is that water boiled very quickly!,) and the handles are not substantial enough to feel "right" in my hand. The handles are flimsy and short. The tops fit well, but because of how the handles on the tops are shaped, you need to use a pot holder to remove them or else you might touch the glass with the side of your hand or fingers and will get burned.
